About me
Kathie Burton serves Republic Schools as an Elementary Learning Specialist. Prior to her current role, she supported elementary students in the Republic School District for 29 years as a preschool teacher, kindergarten teacher, first grade teacher, second grade teacher, and K-5 literacy coach. She also has worked with preservice teachers as a Reading and Writing Practicum Per Course Instructor for four years at Missouri State University. She graduated from Evangel University with a degree in elementary education, early childhood education, and reading. Kathie lives in Republic with her supportive husband, Bill. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her four granddaughters, crafting, gardening, and attending baseball games.
