2025 GOCSD Innovation Summit

2025-26 will be my 20th year in education. I teach 6-8 ELA and Special Investigations for gifted students as well as 8th grade Advanced Reading at South Middle School in Joplin, Missouri. I also serve as the district's Coordinator for Gifted Services. Over the years, I have taught gifted in grades 1-8, 5th grade general education, 8th grade ELA (gen ed and co-taught), as well as online courses for our local university. I received my Doctorate in Education in 2023. My dissertation focused on equity in identification strategies for gifted students.
