Interactive read-alouds are a powerful way to build language comprehension, but teachers need the right tools to make them impactful. In this session, discover how to develop interactive read-aloud guides and text sets that support vocabulary, background knowledge, and critical thinking. We’ll share our process for creating resources that help our K-3 teachers explicitly teach the language side of Scarborough’s Reading Rope. Walk away with practical strategies and a clear framework for designing read-aloud supports. By the end of this session, participants will understand how to develop and implement interactive read-aloud guides that strengthen comprehension across classrooms.
